PepsiCo has changed it's tune!

This is a great post provided by Jeff Miller at the Curt Jester.  Apparently, PepsiCo has caved under the pressure of boycotts.  Strangely enough, just last month they denied ever using any human cells for research.  They are singing a different tune this month.  This is what I mean about how they do everything they can to deceive you...to tell you half truths.  You are free to do what you wish, but I'm staying away from PepsiCo.  It just feels safer.

Aborted Baby Cells--Addendum***

Over the last couple of weeks, I've been doing my very best to make my blog a pleasant place to visit.  I want to focus on positive things...my faith, my family and all those other things in life that I'm so thankful for.  To hear bad news (or whining, arguing, fighting, etc.), all you have to do is turn on the T.V. or read the newspaper.  It's all over the place.  I'm so tired of it all.  Anyway, I've really been making an effort to post good things.

Unfortunately, something came to me in the mail the other day that I MUST share with you!  To be honest, I was stunned.  I had no idea that there is an entire industry that harvests human aborted baby cells and USES them in FOOD PRODUCTS*****, as well as other items.  Because our family has access to these items and we use some of these, I'm going to post them here so you can make informed decisions about how you and your family will proceed with this information.

This information came to me from Christian Action News.  I have received this publication for many, many years and I am confident that this information is accurate and current.  I could not, in good conscience, let this information "slip by" and not do anything about it.  I had to share this so that you WILL KNOW the extent of evil in this world.  How much do you think Jesus grieves?



*****It has come to my intention from a reliable source, that the aborted baby cells are being used to TEST some of these products...and are not actually IN the products.  With that being said, you should know that the information that comes from Senomyx is far from clear.  I think they do that on purpose...if they can confuse you with their word plays, then perhaps you can't actually pinpoint the truth.  HOWEVER, I do not want to confuse you either.  Aborted baby cells are still ABORTED BABY cells whether they are used to test the product or to produce the product.  Either way, a human baby is dead!  As a pro-life Catholic, I can't ever, in good conscience, use these products again since I am now aware of this situation. *******

Stand For Life!

Yesterday, while a lot of people (and friends) in my community where STANDING FOR LIFE in front of the courthouse in downtown Jacksonville, I was at a doctors appointment!  If it hadn't been for the fact that I have been feeling so bad with this virus, I would have been at the courthouse too!

Instead, after my appointment and a visit to the pharmacy for my antibiotic, I took the kids to our parish for a visit to the Adoration Chapel!  We spent about 10 minutes in there praying for all of the babies that have killed since the passing of Roe v. Wade....approximately 53,000,000.....in case you missed it....that's MILLION!  Anyway, our parish does a special STAND FOR LIFE display on the lawn and I wanted the kids to see it.

38 years of death.

The year my precious son was born, 1,312,990 babies were murdered.

The year that my miracle baby, Amelia was born, 1,222,100 babies were murdered.

My baby, my sweet-sweet baby girl.  The year she was born 1,206,200 babies were killed.

It has to stop!

Better

Feeling a lot better today. I had some down time last night.....Dan took care of dinner and homework as well as getting the kids to bed. I got up early this morning to go to the 40 Days for Life site and spent an hour in front of the abortion clinic. We got lots of positive honks and waves as well as a lot of middle fingers and other nasty gestures.

Sometimes I wonder how much it helps the cause to just stand on the sidewalk and hold a sign, but then I remember that if even one little life is saved, it's worth it. It helped me being there today because my focus was not on myself but on others. Plus, I got some fresh air out of the deal.

This and That

• Last night was the final night of our Lenten Parish Mission. This was probably one of the very best Mission's that I've been able to attend. Fr. Kevin from the Apostolate for Family Consecration was an excellent speaker and I truly believe that the Holy Spirit was in cahoots with Fr. Kevin to make sure I was there every night!
• A funny thing happened during the closing mass last night.....there was a family with two small boys sitting behind us. The boys behaved VERY WELL all through mass. At the end, right before the final blessing....when the church is at it's quietest...the youngest boy sneezed...after which he stated loudly..."Look, no boogies mom"! Well, it was very hard to contain myself! I started laughing (quietly, of course), but, I couldn't stop! It was not a very prayerful ending to a very spiritually uplifting mass! The kid in me still lives!
• I saw my OB/GYN yesterday morning for my two week surgical follow up! He says I'm healing well! My hemoglobin is still at the level I was two weeks ago...but...he said he will check it again in another 3 weeks. He doesn't want me to go back to work before my 6 weeks is up. I'm still not to lift more than 10 lbs. I only have pain when I've been standing too long. It also seems to really be painful when I'm kneeling at church. Whatever muscles you use to kneel are apparently connected in some way to my lower abdominal muscles. Does this count as a legitimate reason to sit instead of kneel?
• This morning, while doing my hour for the 40 Days for Life vigil in front of the Planned Parenthood....I was struck by the two women that PPH were using as escorts. These women actually think they are HELPING those that come for abortions! How is it that they can't see that what they are doing is actually harmful to the Body of Christ as a whole, as well as to that individual soul inside the womb of these mothers? How can they believe that murder for convenience is helping? These unborn babies are human beings...they are souls created by God. This is why God does not want sex outside of the marriage covenant. This is why in our marriage vows we promise to "accept children lovingly from God". Did you know that there are approximately 8,000 abortions performed in Jacksonville EVERY year! You can not tell me that 8,000 murders every year are due to rape, incest, or the health of the mother. Women are using abortion as a form of birth control! Does Planned Parenthood explain to these women that there is a link between abortion and breast cancer? Do these women understand that their fertility is a gift....that not everyone is even able to conceive? Do people realize that in those 8,000 murders...how many potential doctors, nurses, priests, humanitarians, lawyers, social workers, teachers, mothers, fathers, policemen/women that have been denied the right to life? It could be that we've just murdered a future president, pope, ambassador, or the person who would find the cure for cancer? Interestingly, here in Florida...I could go to jail for disturbing a turtle nest/eggs that I might come across on the beach.....however, I could kill as many babies as I want....and NEVER face a court of law. As a matter of fact, if I went to Planned Parenthood to do it...I would have an escort to help me get there! Do you see how backwards our society is? We value animals and birds more than we value human life. How this must just devastate Our Lord and Our Lady! May God have mercy on us all!

I wish that somehow, the world knew the truth about what abortion really is. As a society, we have no problem watching sex on tv. We have no problem watching homosexuality on tv....we have no problem watching people get hacked up with a saw or buried alive in some of these horror movies. How come these so called "pro-choice" people won't watch an abortion on tv? Why won't the networks show an actual abortion on one of their "reality" shows? I mean, we've seen surgery of EVERY kind, we've watched addicts detox, we've watched drug and alcohol "interventions". Why no abortions?

Well, I'll tell you why....because then, they'd have to face what they've always denied...the TRUTH! The truth is that it is murder! They would be faced with the fact that abortion is REAL...that these really are BABIES and not a clump of cells. They would be faced with the fact that it is WRONG. They would be horrified! Oh how God must feel every time one of His souls returns to Him this way! Oh how He must grieve! We should all be grieving...every last one of us!

Let us NEVER tire of fighting for these babies....for these beautiful souls that cannot fight for themselves. Let us NEVER stop fighting for hearts and minds to be changed.
