I had my annual mammogram this morning! Can you believe that I didn't tell you guys about it before hand? I can't either! I usually whine, snivel and agonize over it for days! This time, I asked God for peace and LET HIM GIVE IT TO ME! It's funny, I usually ask for peace and then worry anyway because a tiny part of me doesn't trust Him to take care of me...even if the results weren't good. This time, I decided to trust! The good news is that the results were "negative for malignancy"...but the
better news is that, I trusted God! I didn't worry at all and I can tell you that the only time I felt even a tad bit anxious (actually, my teeth were chattering from nervousness) was AFTER I had the mammogram and was waiting for the radiologist to look at the digital films.
This was my first visit to the new
Hill Cancer Center! They moved all of the mammogram facilities from the hospital to this new building. It's very nice. All new modern furniture and a flat screen TV that only plays peaceful music and serene landscapes with waterfalls and beautiful birds (I prefer Fox and Friends...but that's just me)! The gowns are also new....mauve instead of pink. I swear, when I walked into the waiting room, it looked like Mary Kay had thrown up in there! The old out-of-date magazines are still there though. Tsk, tsk.
In any case, I'm glad that's over for another year! Phew!
