......of LETTUCE!!! About two months ago a friend from work gave me a package of
mesclun lettuce seeds. I planted them and within two days, they were sprouting! Dan had to work late last night and when he got home, he reminded me that we were supposed to have a hard freeze. So, at about 11pm, Dan was holding the flashlight and I was snipping off my first crop! It as so exciting! I brought those precious leaves in and carefully washed and dried them! Guess what I had for lunch today?? It was the best salad I've had in a long time! Absolutely NO chemicals or pesticides! YUM!
