Blogging break

I ask for your prayers as I take a blogging break until after my surgery on Tuesday the 17th. I will have Dan post an update. Your prayers of support and encouragement mean the world to me.

You and your family are wrapped up snug in my prayers, Nancy.

Friends of Nancy, let us join prayer on her behalf.

In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, I pray. Amen.

Father, we bring You these prayers for Nancy...

Our Father Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

p.s. Nancy, you all, you and your family, are also in the prayer of friends I have here at home, a group of Catholic sisters who I 'work' for sometimes (computer assistance).

Absolutely that's OK with me. You and your family are in my prayers daily. It's times like these that there is only one set of footprints. God is keeping you close.

Best of luck to you. I had the same surgery (abdominal hysterectomy and BSO) just over two weeks ago. It was tough-going for the first week or so, but I'm now starting to feel like myself again. I had an 11 cm. complex cyst on my left ovary that ended up being (thankfully) benign. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Re my last emal. Mission acccomplished. Right on schedule, too. Big smile! Also, they were touched and delighted to know of your own prayer and family Rosary on their behalf.

Nancy, what time, eastern time, is your surgery? So we can pray for you and your medical staff Feb. 15, 2009
