The decision has been made to not home school the kids next year. Nathan and Amelia will continue on at our parish school and Olivia will start PreK 3 there too. I will work 4 six hour days instead of 3 eight hour days. I was really hoping we could work it out, but, there's only one way we could do it....and that's just not going to happen. Sooooo, I will throw away one more Catholic Heritage Curricula catalogue as well as put on my big girl panties and call it a day!
I guess this decision also nixes my going to Tampa in July for a Catholic Homeschooling conference. Drat! I love perusing through the vendors and seeing all of those happy homeschooling families. Sigh.....

oh Nancy,
I am so sorry you feel it cannot happen now. I will be praying for you that you will have peace with the decision you have made.
Praying for peace for you...
Hi, I'm RAnn and I'd like to invite you to participate in Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival. It is a meme and a replacement for the Catholic Carnival Jay at Living Catholicism ran for many years. It is a place for Catholic bloggers to direct others to their posts and to meet other Catholic bloggers. Some participants blog exclusively about Catholic things; others (like me) do so only occassionally. Both are welcome. To participate, go your blog and create a post titled "Sunday Snippets--A Catholic Carnival". In it, summarize and link to at least on of your posts from the last week, which post should have a least a little to do with Catholicism (even if it is just showing off the cute Catholic kid). In your post, link to the master post which will generally be up by Saturday afternoon at http://rannthisthat.blogspot.com. Then, go to the master post and add your name to Mr. Linky. Visit the other blogs on the list and enjoy
If you'd like a weekly reminder to participate, subcribe to our yahoogroup at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sunday_snippets/?yguid=1269802
This week's master post is at http://rannthisthat.blogspot.com/2009/04/sunday-snippets-catholic-carnival_25.html
My heart aches for you. It takes SUCH courage to make and stand by decisions through prayerful discernment for our families. May you have PEACE in your decision and may God bless you in your work and your children in their schools.
I a little behind here on reading blogs... I'm sorry to hear you won't be homeschooling but happy to hear you have come up with a solution to your questions regarding schooling and work and insurance, etc. I hope that goes well for you and your family and that you have peace and joy in taking this step.
