Disappointment

Merriam-Webster describes "disappointment" as a failure to meet the expectation or hope of .   I am dealing with some major disappointment today.  I think the emotion is compounded when the disappointment was caused by someone you love.  I don't know how fast I will recover from this.

I guess trying to understand what is in my area of control and what isn't is the key to moving forward.  Perhaps an honest self assessment is in order.  I guess whining and complaining isn't going to get me anywhere either.

I really felt the heaviness tonight. Usually I lead the prayers during our family rosary.  But tonight, I could barely utter the words.  I chose misery...and that's exactly what I got!  Shame on me!

I'll be taking a blogging break while I lick my wounds.  Mr. Pride must be dealt with yet again.  Oh how I hate the fact that he lives here.

Man, I've been around Mt. Pride a few times myself. But, don't forget: Jesus is standing before you asking you to love Him. ;) (nice twist on words from a film, huh? I try to make better use of these things after all).

Prayers for you.

Hi Nancy, As you know I have all kinds of advice. I'll spare you though :) except for this:
1) you tend to be hard on yourself; and
2)just remember whose game plan hopelessness and discouragement are. And it's not Jesus' :) .

If you want to talk on the side, let me know by email.

Also, I've -finally- dropped by again to tell you that my latest post is for you.

God be with you dear heart, I pray...

Nancy,
Who doesn't have pride? I've read that this is the last one to go so at least you have billions of people for company. I will pray that the Lord consoles you and lifts your spirit.

I'm so sorry for your pain, Nancy. I've had my share of such disappointments as those from the ones that I love, but I have to remember that they are in charge of their own lives, and don't have to ask me for permission. It doesn't make the pill any easier to swallow, but prayer helps a lot. So, I'm offering my prayers for you today.

Blessings,
Abbey
