Reading List

Over the last several days, I think I've received at least 20 holiday catalogs.  I'm not really sure how I get on these lists, but they are fun to browse through and dream about the things I would purchase....if I ever won the lottery!  Now, don't get me wrong, I would give the majority of it away, but I would most definitely spend some on myself!  Well, wouldn't you?

My favorite catalog of all of them is the Fall 2011 Ignatius Press (Books, Films, Art, Music, Audio)!  I could go nuts with this one!  I don't think I will ever live long enough to read all the books on my list.
Here are some of the books I've put on my "Reading Bucket List":

Wow!  How many is that anyway?  Like I said, I'll never live long enough to read all of these but some of them just sound so good!  If anyone out there in bloggy land has read any of these, I'd love to hear about it!

Right now I am reading a novel called Sacred Hearts by Sarah Dunant.  It's pretty good, but I'm eager to see if I can find any of the above in ebook format.  I just LOVE my Nook!  It goes with me everywhere!  I think I'm going to look for one of those "bookshelf" gadgets to place on my sidebar so I can keep track.

I'm very excited about spending the next few months curling up with a good book, having my family close by, celebrating holidays and enjoying the cold weather (please God, give us some cold weather!).

What are you reading?

Why Catholics Are Right - sucks! personally, I think it's not worth the bother. I have it on my kindle and rue the day I bought the damn thing. If I can figure out how to let you borrow it on the Kindle, (or you figure it out/know how) you can have it.

I won Our Lady of Kibiho from Therese (Musings of a Mom), believe it or not. It's very very good!!! My youngest son even read about it - he asked me if he could read it last year. Wow!

Okay, now I'll go back and see if there is anything else - I just skimmed.

Priestblock 25487 - you'll never regret reading this (as opposed to the regret and sadness you'll feel after reading "Night" -)!!!

No Turning Back - excellent. I think I already gave it away or sent it to another friend, but if I come across it any time soon, I'll send you my copy. I think I passed it on . . . I won't read the story again, but it was great! I love how Christ changes folks esp. through His Mum!

So many books, so little time! That's why I have a goodreads account to keep track of what I have read and what I want to read, plus you can see how other have rated them.

I keep on telling myself there will be lots of time to read when my children have all grown up and moved out. I do read a bit more in winter when it is cold. Sitting by the fire with a good book is a favourite pastime here.
