We just received a notice from the kid's school today confirming what the tuition payment will be each month for the 2009-2010 school year......I'm having a pain in my chest and I think I need oxygen or CPR...maybe both!!!
We looked at the Catholic schools on Oahu and I just about fell over at the annual tuitions between $8K and $10K. People say stuff about tuition grants and lowering the cost for the poor . . . but seriously, I cannot go there financially. Maybe one kid we could choke the money out of our budget for, but it's not worth it if we're doing it on credit - not in this economy and not while we already have enough debt. Manageable, but debt just the same.
I do not look forward to these days. I can't believe how much I am paying for the one hour of preschool Yaya attends with me present! YIKES! They better be geniuses is all I have to say! ;)

It is outrageous. Catholic Education here in Australia was started to educate the poor. I am sure Blessed Mary McKillop is tossing in her grave.
