We Got Through The First Week!!!

As most of you know, I don't homeschool...although that is the greatest desire of my heart. Each year that I have to do the school "thing" (uniforms, soccer, picture day, lunches, blah-blah-blah) I want to homeschool more and more. Still, for whatever reason, this commercial CRACKS ME UP! Is there anybody out there that sees the humor in it????? Or am I the only one?

I'm a homeschooler and I see the humor in that commercial! It's sad that so many parents feel that way, but at the same time I have my days were I wish I could just ship them off! Not for months, just day or 2 at a time, LOL

It's funny! There were years that I felt that way. Not this year though.

I think the euphoric look on the dad's face is hilarious and I get the humour in this commercial, but it's sad that so many people resent their kids being around. And, not to mention, I think that many families both parents work and the kids are in daycare anyway . . .so I see the daycare folks being giddy about going back to before/after school care of the child, but the parent? Not so much.

It's ok Nancy, having a 40 year old kid and a 39 year old kid, I remember them getting back into a structured atmosphere after summer. This is a funny commercial. I vaguely remember saying to Kenyon, sometimes when the day had been real rough, " When I 'grow up" I am not going to have children.. Now when Vicki tells me she what going on with the teenage grandkids... I quietly hum to myself... "I'm so glad my kids are grow, do da do da....hummed to the Stephen Foster Song Camptown Races. It is all good..LOVE MY KIDS ND GRANDKIDS TO DEATH, and humbly asked how did I get so blessed. ;)

Nancy, It cracked me up too! At least we are honest! Like you, much of me wishes that I could homeschool, but circumstances don't allow it. Maybe this will change. My sister was able to homeschool for 1 year. She loved it, but had to go back to work.

lol I thought it was great too. My 14 year old told me to settle down when I started laughing. She is such a drama queen that it is actually quite funny that she thought I was over reacting.

I have an award for you at my blog.

That commercial cracked me up! You have to do what's right for you and your family. You'll know when to make that change to homeschooling if that is the road you are meant to travel. God will guide you! He's good like that. LOL

I love that commercial! :) I love my kids, but summer is just too unstructured and with their wide age range, it's hard to structure it well! I think I crave the order of the school schedule more than the absence of kids.

I'm very behind on reading blogs due to this week's events!

Thank you for the encouragement and prayers at my blog, about my FIL's situation. He received a pig valve last year. We don't know what kind they will use this time. Hopefully all will be well--surgery is Monday.
