Good Friday

We've had a bit of a set back with my mother-in-law. Last night she was transferred back to the ICU. Her heart rate continued to climb and they needed to give her medication to get her out of A-Fib. Thankfully, her vital signs look good right now. It's 5:15am here...and I've not slept yet! In a little while, I will call Dan's sister to come and relieve me. Our family has truly rallied around my mother-in-law during her time of need. She is one very special woman to me! She really has been my mom for the last 12 years. I would do absolutely anything for her. I wish I could take away her pain and discomfort right now....but I can't.

Earlier, she and I discussed how very special it is to be able to unite our sufferings with Christ on this Good Friday. We will not have our traditional Easter "big-to-do" this year....but that's ok....because Christ will rise anyway! No matter our circumstances, no matter our troubles...He is still on the Throne....He still conquered death!

I feel very blessed to be able to be with her at this time. I wish she knew of the deep love that I have for her. Hopefully, in the next few days, things will improve and we can start talking about her going home.

As you reflect on The Passion and Death of Christ today....please offer a prayer for her. Thank you so very much.

Nancy,
I am sorry to hear that your mother-in-law has had a set back. I am going to pray from 12:00 to 3:00 and I will definitely lift all of you up in prayer. God bless you, dear one.
