Thanks for the list, Nancy. If we avoid these places as much as possible maybe they'll get the message. My husband stopped contributing to United Way at work (they would take it automatically out of their paychecks) and his boss got mad but U.W. supports Planned Parenthood so he stopped giving them money when he realized this. His boss said, "Well, what about all the good things they do?!!" Many people have trouble understanding why this is such a huge issue for Catholics but life always comes first.

Love your new look!

I have to say we're hosed just on the insurance companies alone. I'll remember this list when I'm shopping, dining or traveling though.

Planned Parenthood isn't just about abortion. I am not particularly religious, myself, but I have enjoyed reading your blog from time to time. You seem to have an incredible outlook on life and your ability to roll with the punches is more than admirable.

Though I understand your position on Planned Parenthood facilitating abortions, I wish that you would accept the fact that the primary reason they even exist is to educate and protect youth from making choices that lead them to abortions in the first place. The organization provides contraception to youth who are brave enough to ask for it; Youth that will make the choice to be sexually active with or without the service. It also provides STI testing, counselling, and treatment for youth smart enough to take advantage. (I understand that though their primary focus is on young adults, they also deal with adults).

I accept and respect your position on this, but just wanted to share mine, as that is what the blog world is all about.

I wish you all the very best as you continue to share your life and yourself with the rest of us!
